Easy to Use.
You can use your Business Debit Card for everyday business purchases anywhere Visa Debit is accepted. When you make a Transaction using your Card, the available funds on your Account will usually be reduced immediately by the amount of the Transaction. The transactions will be debited from your Business Bank Account within a few days.
Less Cheques
You can use your Business Debit Card instead of writing a cheque. It saves time and it’s a lot easier and quicker when buying over the phone, by post, or online. With your card, you can withdraw up to €600 cash per day from an ATM.
Contactless, Android PayTM & Apple Pay
Your card is enabled for Contactless payments and ready to work wherever a retailer has a Contactless machine. When the bill is less than €30, just touch and pay where you see the contactless symbol. Android Pay and Apple Pay are also available, to find out more just click on Android Pay or Apple Pay.
Security When Shopping Online.
Your card comes with extra security for shopping online. Where sites have Verified by Visa, you get an extra layer of security.
Fees and Charges
Card transaction fees apply, additional charges may apply when using your card abroad. Full details of all fees and charges that we will apply to your AIB Business Debit Card are contained in the Business Fees & Charges brochure.
How to Apply
Business Debit Cards are available to all parties on an AIB Business Bank Account who are authorised signatories and where the account mandate allows Any One to sign. The maximum number of cards per company is 10. If you wish to apply for a Business Debit Card, please complete the application form and return it to your branch.
We recommend you read the terms and conditions included in the application form, not least because your business is responsible for paying for any transactions on the card. For example, if an Authorised Signatory has a card and later is no longer an Authorised Signatory, it is up to your business to cancel the card.
Important / Regulatory Notice
When you apply, we will assess your application.
You must ensure that there is enough money in your account to pay for any debit card transaction, or your transaction may be declined and we may charge you as a result.
Government Stamp Duty will be charged at a rate of €0.12 per ATM transaction. Government Stamp Duty only applies to ATM transactions carried out within Ireland (excluding Northern Ireland). This charge is capped at €2.50 if you only use your debit card for ATM transactions and capped at €5 if you use your debit card for both purchases and ATM transactions. Government Stamp Duty charge on debit cards is applied in January, for the previous year.
